In Europe and North America, leading companies offer integrated service packages or a loyal customer strategy for the majority of their marketing, including three and four-service bundles. In the United States, AT&T, Verizon, and Lumen primarily rely on self-owned networks or traditional telephone infrastructure to offer IPTV services, albeit on a smaller scale.

5G networks, in conjunction with millions of IoT devices, have disrupted IPTV evolution with the introduction of AI and machine learning. Cloud computing is strongly supporting AI systems to unlock novel functionalities. Proprietary AI recommendation systems are being widely adopted by streaming services to capture audience interest with their own advantages. The video industry has been enhanced with a fresh wave of innovation.
A larger video bitrate, by increasing resolution and frame rate, has been a key goal in enhancing viewer engagement and gaining new users. The breakthrough in recent years were driven by new standards crafted by industry stakeholders.
Several proprietary software stacks with a reduced complexity are nearing release. Rather than releasing feature requests, such software stacks would allow media providers to optimize performance to further refine viewer interactions.
